FTS Care

About Us

FTS Care began in 2010 with one children & young people’s residential service in the Falkirk area of Scotland and since then our vision has led us to successfully open a further two services.

What sets us apart

FTS Care recognises that all young people should be treated with dignity, respect and equality helping them develop coping strategies and resilience.

We create opportunities for change to allow the children and young people to heal and grow. We believe a productive, happy life is an attainable goal for everyone

Why Choose FTS Care?

We at FTS Care recognise the important contribution of our staff, ensuring a positive, empathic and proactive working environment.

This is achieved by continuous training and development of each member of staff in line with Health & Social Care Standards page and The Promise thereby providing them with the ability to respond with flexibility to the variety of needs within our service.

We use the The GIRFEC approach:

  • is child-focused– it ensures the child or young person – and their family – is at the centre of decision-making and the support available to them.
  • is based on an understanding of the wellbeing of a child in their current situation – it takes into consideration the wider influences on a child or young person and their developmental needs when thinking about their wellbeing, so that the right support can be offered
  • is based on tackling needs early– it aims to ensure needs are identified as early as possible to avoid bigger concerns or problems developing
  • requires joined-up working– it is about children, young people, parents, and the services they need working together in a coordinated way to meet the specific needs and improve their wellbeing

The GIRFEC approach has been tested and developed across Scotland since 2006. It is based on research evidence and the experiences of practitioners, families and children
